Special policies related to Coronavirus:
- If you have fever or any other symptoms necessitating a cancelled stay within the 14 day window due to illness, your deposit can be used toward a future stay.
- Due to the need to sanitize rooms as part of the CDC guidelines, check-ins may be delayed. We ask for your patience as we work to keep all our guests and staff safe.
- Breakfast service will be altered for the time being. At check in, guests will be asked to confirm their attendance at breakfast and to pick a time slot window. This is so that we can ensure social distance is maintained in the dining room. Guests will be allowed to take their breakfast back to their room or to another area of the hotel in order to maintain social distance of at least six feet.
- Once a guest checks in to the hotel, we will not be able to enter their room for any type of service without their specific request. This includes for housekeeping purposes.
- For the time being, the ice maker will be off limits to guests. Should a guest desire their ice bucket to be filled a member of the staff will he happy to do that for them. Simply bring the bucket to the front desk.
- All the usual guest service information will be delivered electronically via email at check in, in order to minimize exposure to germs. We will have hard copies available by request.
- All public areas of the hotel will be sanitized throughout the day in an effort to limit any exposure to the virus. Still, we will rely upon our guests’ good judgement as they assess the safety of using the public spaces. Guests will assume responsibility for their good health.
- All staff will wear face masks while in the public domain. Staff has also been thoroughly trained in sanitizing and safety measures.
- The City Of New Orleans currently requires everyone, including visitors, to wear masks in all public areas except in parks and walking on the street.
- Most restaurants, bars, boutiques, and attractions are open, however an advance reservation is required in many instances so please plan ahead.
Room Rates
Room rates range from $169.00 to $379.00 per night, excluding special events. The specific rate depends on the room and number of people, and does not include applicable state and city taxes. Special events stays may require a minimum stay and full, non refundable payment in advance of arrival.
Cancellations
*Special event and holiday bookings require a 35 day cancellation in order to receive a deposit refund. In some circumstances this cancellation policy may be extended to 90 days. Guests will be notified of such policy when the reservation is made.
*Group bookings require a 60 day cancellation in order to receive a deposit refund. All rooms in a group block must have a deposit to be held once we are 90 days from the check in date.
*Regular reservations require a 15 day cancellation in order to receive a deposit refund.
Please note that because we are a small business, last minute cancellations and changes of plan can be disastrous for us. Therefore, Park View reserves the right to charge the full amount of the reserved stay in the event of a shortened stay or change of plans, once the guest has checked into the hotel.
Arrivals and Departures
Because we want all our guests to have a beautiful, clean room for their arrival, check in time is set at 3 PM and check out time is 11 AM. We will be happy to try and accommodate special arrival and departure times, but cannot make guarantees because of other guest needs. We are always happy to store luggage in the event that we cannot be flexible with the above times.
Our front desk hours are 8am – 10pm. If you need any assistance after this time, there is a phone number for our nighttime employee posted by the front door as well as at the front desk.
Children
We welcome well behaved, well supervised children in our establishment. Because this definition is somewhat subjective, we do reserve the right to ask guests to quiet their children down whenever we deem necessary. We also ask that children refrain from running in the halls and up and down the stairs, as this may disturb other guests who are traveling without children. Our historic inn is furnished with extremely valuable antiques and decorative accessories so we ask our adult guests to closely monitor their children’s activities at all times on the premises. Our balconies can be dangerous for children, so our policy is for children to refrain from going on balconies unless under direct parental supervision.
Smoking
The Park View Guest House is a non smoking facility inside the premises. Guests may smoke in designated areas outside of the building, but may not smoke on private balconies or in hotel rooms. Because cigarette smoke is extremely difficult to remove, any room that smells like cigarette smoke during a guest stay, or upon checkout, will be assessed a $200.00 fee for damages.

Our property uses InnQuest to provide online reservation services. Most weekend bookings require a 2-day stay.
Privacy
InnQuest respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. Your personal information is collected and stored to facilitate online reservations with our property. Basic information concerning your visit to this site is used by InnQuest to improve its service. Your data is never shared with unauthorized outside parties or sold.
InnQuest has complied with the the foundation principles of GDPR from at least 2010 on and is proud to be GDPR compliant with regards to breach notifications, right to access, right to be forgotten, data portability, privacy by design, and data protection officers.
Security
InnQuest uses industry-standard encryption to protect your personal and payment information during and after your reservation. After your reservation is complete, the system removes your credit card information to prevent theft or disclosure. InnQuest meets or exceeds rigorous industry standards for protecting credit card information and is PCI compliant. This PCI compliance has been verified by an external auditor.
